About CEDatum

John Stevens

CEDatum was created by John Stevens. Mr. Stevens joined RCA in 1966 from the BBC in London. He worked for RCA Broadcast Systems in Camden N.J. until 1980 when he was transferred to the RCA Rockville Road facility and was assigned the Manager of Signal Generations Operations. After the CED program ended Mr. Stevens created CEDatum to provide parts and services for those who needed them to maintain their CED Videodisc players. He also provided a workshop to help teach others how to repair and maintain players. John Stevens passed away in August of 2021. The CEDatum name will continue to live on for all of those who continue to keep the magic alive with the CED Videodisc System.
